In some cases, you will be directed to a residence that can provide "continuity of care" that allows seniors with evolving needs to "age in place" at a broad spectrum facility. Your advisor will answer questions and may assist with arrangements for on-site tours.
In any case, the tour will be one of your most meaningful steps in the process. It is important to listen in detail and to ask more questions to get a firm understanding of the capabilities and features that are being offered. Don’t hesitate to ask you advisor to clarify items that are unclear.

In the end, the senior and family will be responsible for making a final decision on the new home or care arrangements. The home or facility management will be responsible for delivering on their own claims and promises. So, having a clear understanding will be important. It is imperative that you exercise due diligence in making these decisions. Again, be clear. Ask questions. Use your advisor as a resource.
